Lana Winterhalt is a classically-trained singer, songwriter, producer, and hopeless-romantic based in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Over the past 10 years Lana has had the opportunity to provide music at over 25 weddings, using her warm personality and incredible musical talent to help couples make their perfect wedding visions come to life. As a songwriter, Lana has also had the unique opportunity of writing personalized acoustic songs for different couples over the years that have been performed at their wedding—this gift provides couples with a unique keepsake for years to come.

Lana celebrates and embraces all couples regardless of race, creed, sexual orientation or political affiliations. Lana celebrates all family structures and types of ceremonies! Lana is also well-versed in Christian and Catholic hymns, creeds, worship songs, and traditions, and is open to performing and participating in religious or non-religious ceremonies.

Pricing

Prices range from $300-$1000 and are flexible based on:

• wedding location and proximity to city

• time expectation and number of songs performed

• solo performance (just Lana) or second performer (male or female voice, you have options!)

• sound equipment—provided by couple/venue or Lana supplies her own

• personalized song (played, recorded and given as a gift, for a family member, etc—this would be closer to the $1000 range)

Process

How does booking Lana Winterhalt actually work?

Once the connection has been made, this is what you can expect from Lana:

1. Lana will email, have a phone call, or Zoom with the couple to hash out all the preliminary details. Some couples know exactly what they want, some have no idea! Lana loves the process of getting to know you a bit, your musical taste, if you have any “must play” songs, and your general expectations for the music.
   
   This will also be the time to discuss date, rehearsal times, the venue and space for performance, where songs will be situated throughout the day, and any expectations you have from the performance. At the end of the meeting, Lana will provide the couple with a general quote. Please note: prices are always flexible, so seriously, don’t hesitate to ask!
   

2. Once budget is discussed, now’s the time to discuss the actual songs! All cover songs? Lana’s originals? A song written just for you? Religious songs or hymns? Whatever it is, Lana can do it! She’ll ask some prompting questions or give you some homework if you don’t have any music ideas yet! She will also inquire about sound equipment and what will be provided vs. what she needs to bring.
   

3. A month before the wedding (or when songs are finalized, whichever is sooner), Lana will provide the couple with a video of a practice performance so they can get an idea of timing or make any changes to song structures.
   

4. Leading up to the big date, Lana will not bug you unless there is anything really pressing! Please Note: unless specified by the couple, Lana will dress professionally and semi-formal in a neutral coloured dress or skirt. She will not wear white, a bright colour, a pattern, or anything too splashy. Special requests should be made in advance for Lana to prepare.
   

5. Based on your preferences, Lana will be there to rehearse for the rehearsal ceremony/dinner, and/or before the wedding begins on the day-of. Lana is knowledgeable in the areas of sound production and stage sound, so she will not need to bug you. She will be there no later than one hour before the start of the music performance.
